Faking News (Moksha Edition)

Since time immemorial, rumor-mongers have fed on the happenings of the town to garner audience. Every event is incomplete without its share of some incredulous rumors. They spice up the mundane conversations and blow out of proportion, the already grand. Putting a rest to all the ‘Grand rumors’ doing the rounds, here is a consolidated version of the most concocted news you would ever find.

Akcent. Amit Trivedi. Nikhil Chinappa. Neha Sharma. Swedish House Mafia.

Yes, you read the last name correctly.

The zealous fourth years are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the cultural fest of NSIT, Moksha, lives up to (and beyond) its expectations and justifies the adage ‘Grand’ to Moksha 2014. The latest buzz is that Swedish House Mafia has been roped in to rock the house at Moksha ‘14. Having parted ways in March 2013, this swedish electronic dance music trio, consisting of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastan Ingrosso, has decided to reunite to enthrall the audience at one of the most elite engineering colleges of India.

The group will be seen performing on the rock night to the tunes of their popular numbers like ‘Save the World’ and ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ on the concluding day of the fest. “We intend to make Moksha 2014, the most happening fest in Asia. On hearing about its grandeur, Axwell had expressed desire to be a part of our fest,” said the fest coordinator, Mr. Ghanta Singh.

Along with the Swedish giants, some of our ‘closer to home’ celebrities too, plan to grace the fest. While a number of movies will kick-off their promotion from our college, other celebrities have decided to just join in to witness our fest. So, one should expect a regular rubbing of shoulders with people from the tinsel town. So, keep your autograph books ready, fellas!

With regular threats to dampen this ‘grand’ fest, the day when our fest organizers will be applying for Z-category security, which apparently, our aam muffler aadmi has refused, doesn’t seem too far away.
